About Us
About Loomis House Press
Formed in 1996 to publish regional titles and titles on new religious movements, Loomis House Press has expanded its focus to specialize on traditional music, folklore, balladry, and related subjects. Beginning with Francis J. Child's essential The English and Scottish Popular Ballads, we are dedicated to providing new editions of classic works in the field as well as new works of value to scholars and casual readers. We welcome submissions or suggestions for reissues.
Why Loomis House?
Our offices are in the historic George Loomis House, an 1856 Greek Revival pioneer home overlooking the Cannon River. We are proud to have contributed to the preservation of this important piece of regional history.
